Walking in Purity

"But sexual immorality and any impurity or greed should not even be heard of among you, as is proper for saints. Coarse and foolish talking or crude joking are not suitable, but rather giving thanks. For know and recognize this: Every sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, does not have an inheritance in the kingdom of the Messiah and of God" (Ephesians 5:3-5 HCSB)

For the Christian man, walking in purity is not an option that can be taken or left. For the man of God, it is a requirement. There is no doubt that sexual sin is probably the hardest thing we as men have to deal with. The reason that God lets us struggle with it is because He loves us so much and that He knows how sinful we are. Of course, pornography and masturbation are just the tip of the iceberg. Many times, we want the sin to go away, but we are not willing to deal with the selfish lifestyle and self-centeredness that drive it. God will not be content to allow you freedom from this area while leaving the rest of you untouched. God wants all of you friend. Unless you are willing to let him have it all, he is not interested in giving you the freedom from your sin that you want.
